O. P. Jindal Global University (JGU), a non-profit University, is established by the Haryana Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2009 at Sonipat, Haryana (NCR of Delhi). Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is the first school of JGU. O.P. Jindal Global University and Jindal Global Law School are recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The first academic session of the JGLS is scheduled to commence in September 2009. The admission test (LSAT—India) by Law School Admission Council, USA conducted by Pearson VUE, through its affiliate in India for selection of students for admission to the JGLS is approved by the Government of Haryana.
