Jindal Global University

Jindal Global University (JGU) was developed in 2009 by the government of Haryana around the idea of providing its students with a truly global education. Established on 80 acres in the national capital region of Delhi, the school features five schools, the Jindal Global Law School, Jindal Global Business School, Jindal School of International Affairs, Jindal School of Government and Public Policy and Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities. Due to the limited public funding available for education in India, JGU is a privately-funded university that is financially endowed by the Jindal Group, a leading multinational holding company of India. Through this private endowment, JGU is able to offer its students state-of-the-art research facilities, cutting-edge IT resources, a distinguished pool of internationally-recognized faculty and an exceptional library system, among other features.

As part of its vision, JGU believes that a sound education is inextricably related to robust economic development. By building international collaborations, partnerships and exchange programs, students and faculty alike are better prepared to help build the future. The world’s interdependent nature dictates that the next generation of students be able to skillfully navigate their way through the global economy, seamlessly adjusting to the challenges presented by different cultures and economic systems. Jindal Global University empowers their students to fit into this role of global actor by exposing them to highest standards of academic practices, attested to by the university’s governing body, which includes members from world-renowned universities such as Harvard and Yale.

Seminars, lectures and conferences hosted by JGU and featuring leading scholars, business persons and political figures from around the world provide students with the latest knowledge in their relevant fields and introduce them to the prevailing issues affecting society at large. In continuing to seek out ways to best equip its students to succeed in the global economy and forging strategic global relationships, JGU has already established itself as an elite university.
