As a co-chair of the
International Board of Advisors (IBA) of the JGLS and JGU, I am
looking forward to working with you and other members of the IBA
Given your emphasis on development of research and critical
scholarship at the proposed JGLS, I see many rich opportunities
to develop strong linkages with the Yale Law School in areas
such as faculty exchange and student exchange programs, joint
conferences and seminars, collaboration in teaching certain
courses after consultation with faculty members from both our
schools, and promotion of joint research initiatives and
collaboration in research projects
We are eager to develop
different forms of collaborative arrangements with the proposed
JGLS in order to promote global legal education.

a major gap in Indias capacity to match its economic might
with intellectual leadership. In order to educate Indias

by stressing quality of faculty and facilities, links to the
worlds great universities, and free academic inquiry.
Judging from its current plans, it is likely to succeed in this
ambitious goal in record time.

I am thrilled that the
Jindal Global Law School is set to open in the very near future.
The goal to create a legal educational institution of this type
will no doubt capture the imagination of scholars and students
from both within India as well as from around the world. This
project is obviously ambitious, but in my view commendably so;
and I am fully confident that under the current leadership the
final product will be one in which all who value high quality
academic standards and rigorous research will be proud to be
affiliated. Congratulations to the visionaries of this
incredible idea!
